Tag turns 6!!

I just posted for the 4th and our fish lake camping trip, but Tag
just celebrated his 6th birthday so I thought he deserved his
own post. He didn't really care what we did this year, except
he definitely wanted to go swimming. We figured thats easy,
we'll just BBQ after with cake and Ice cream. So we took him
and a couple of his friends swimming at the rec center. My
sister, her family and my best friend Annie and her kids came
over for the BBQ. We had a great time!
Tag is really into Iron man, but he insisted on having a
spongebob cake. I guess I should be grateful, because at least he
is square! So he got lots of Iron man toys, but had his spongebob
cake too! He is such a sweet boy and he is so grateful too! He
kept saying thank you, thank you for everything all day. We are
so glad he is part of our family! We love him very much! Tag and his best friend Kaden

The Cake!
I was pretty happy with how it
turned out. Tag loved it, so thats
all that matters!

fish lake & the 4th

AAAH!! looks like I've gotten behind again! I just can't seem to
keep up this summer! Well lets see on June 24th BJ and I
celebrated our 10 year anniversary, which is just bananas! I am
so lucky to have such a great husband and best friend! We also
spent that weekend camping at fish lake with Cyndi and her fam.
We had a blast as usual, it was a great weekend! For the 4th we
stayed in town, we decided to beat the heat and took the kids to a
movie. Then later we had a BBQ and BJ's sister house and did
fireworks. The kids love doing sparklers and watching the
fireworks, its one of my favorite holidays, just to watch them
having so much fun!

Who do you think is in charge here?

There are quite a few pics of these two
adorable little girls. There were to many
to choose from and they played so well all
weekend that I couldn't help but take lots
of pictures.

So dirty!!

Don't ask!!

do you think the sun was a little bright?

Until now...

Where to begin....the kids have been keeping busy, which means
I've been busy!! Tag started soccer at the end of March and
finished up just as baseball season started. I am actually quite
annoyed with myself, because I dont have one picture of Tag
playing soccer, also the only picture I have of them playing bball
is their team pic! I know how lame am I, seriously!? Anyway
Zander didn't want to do soccer again this year so just Tag
played. They both really wanted to do peewee baseball
so that started in May. Games twice a week and practice in
between made it seem like thats all we did for the last month!
They were both on different teams so sometimes they would
have games at the same time. BJ and I would split up and take
each of them to their games! Both teams struggled a little in the
beginning, but by the end of the season they were doing sooo
good!! I couldn't believe how much they learned in such a short
time! Well of course during all the sports stuff, the school year
was also coming to an end. Tag had his kindergarten graduation
and Zander had his 1st grade program. I was actually kind of
worried about Tag starting Kindergarten so early since his
birthday is in July he barely made the deadline. He did so good
though, he quickly put my worries to rest! They both did great in
their programs too! We also spent an afternoon at Sand Hollow
Reservoir. We wanted to go to the good beach so we thought we
would walk the extra way through the sand...ummm...in flipflops!
Word to the wise, NEVER ATTEMPT THIS IN THE SUMMER
HEAT!! I'm sure that is pretty obvious to most people, but to me
and my friend Annie we figured it wouldn't be to unbearable.
WRONG!! The sand was so flippin hott!! we had to carry calista
and Annie's little boy Kellan the whole way with our beach bags
and beach chairs! (did I mention Annie is 9 months prego?)
needless to say the walk to and from the water seemed to last
an eternity! Good thing the kids had fun swimming and building
sand castles!

Calista and Kellan

A couple sundays ago, I was making bread and
Calista wanted to help. The picture doesn't do
her justice...she was covered from head to toe in
flour!

Tag holding his Kindergarten diploma!

Enjoying treats after the kindergarten program

Zander had a part in his program...this is him
telling what they did in that month, too bad
you can't see his face! : (

This was actually a few months ago on one
of the few nice days we were having at the time.
Tag and his friend Ethan wanted to do a lemonade
stand. I just thought it was to cute not to get a
picture of!

Sorry its such a long post! Hopefully I can keep
up on it better this summer!!

Taggart's Testimony

I just wanted to post this before I forgot.
A couple weeks ago it was fast and testimony
meeting for our ward. Taggart wanted to go
up and bear his testimony, He has never asked
to go up before so I was really excited that he
wanted to. This is what he said:
"I want to bear my testimony, I know Jesus is
real and I want to be a cowboy when I grow up.
I say this in the name of Jesus Christ amen."
I was trying not to laugh, but it was the cutest thing
I had ever heard! I am so proud of him for being so
fearless and honest about his feelings!!

Colors of Easter

This year we met up with my friend Cyndi and her fam
and spent the weekend up at three lakes. Four
wheeling, playing games, and catching up. We
only get to see each other a few times a year
so it's always great to get together!
First we took a four wheel ride to peek-a-boo
and hiked through the skinnies then had a picnic
lunch. I have to say, I was born and raised in
Kanab and until this weekend I had never been to
peek-a-boo! I know, how pathetic is that?!
Later we went to my parents house to see the EASTER
chicks. They were soo cute! There was green, pink,
orange, and blue. the kids loved them and
thought they were really cool.
Besides the wind and the cold weather, it was
a great weekend! We got to spend it with friends
and family so it was a success, and I couldn't ask
for more!!

My dad also had a couple of baby turkeys,
Zander is holding one in this picture.

The Easter bunny left some eggs for the kids to find
Sunday morning. Maybe he was little to generous?!
the kids were grateful though!

Finding Easter baskets sunday morning. I love this
picture of Calista trying to carry everything all at once
to the living room!

Tag was super excited about getting a soccer
ball.

Zander I think was mostly excited about the candy!
mmmm......

Sorry these pictures are a little out of order.
This is Saturday night decorating eggs. Egg
dye, kids and white counters? not a good mix! Thank
goodness for soft scrub with bleach!! : )

Two months later......

I am finally getting around to posting Zanders Birthday pics
from January! I can't believe it's already been two months
since my last post! Well Zander turned 7 on January 9th.
Him and a few friends went to pirate Island pizza to celebrate!
They had lots of fun playing arcade games and eating pizza.
(FYI; their birthday package pizza is kind of yucky!!) but when
you are 7, I don't think you notice if the pizza tastes good
or not as long as it's pizza they don't care. We came back to the
house to open presents and play. It turned out to be a really nice
day weather wise too so it was great to be able to send the
kids outside afterward to play! I also posted some older
random pictures of Zander too.

One of Zander's favorite things to do is ride with his daddy!
He is about 4 and a half in this pic.

One of his other favorite things is to get as dirty as possible!!
this is our backyard after it rained a TON a few years ago.
he is also about the same age as above.

I just noticed all of these pictures are from 2007! I wanted to post
a couple of younger ones, but my computer was having brain trauma
or something so they wouldn't upload.

This one is from 2006 so he is 3. Sorry thats the youngest one
I could get. He is at the Omaha zoo in Nebraska.

I love looking back at old pictures! I can't believe how fast

they grow up! I am so proud of Zander! He is such a good

kid! We love him very much!! Happy Birthday bud!!
